This training will increase your knowledge and confidence to lead group classes. You’ll learn:


  • Aspects of fitness, wellness, and basic training principles
  • Fitness theory: skeletal, muscular, neurological, cardiovascular, and pulmonary systems
  • Kinesiology/anatomy in action and bioenergetics
  • Components of a fitness class from the warm-up to the cool-down
  • Musicality: phrasing, cueing, and appropriate music selection
  • Leadership and motivation skills
  • Injury recognition and prevention
  • Multiple class formats and the business of group exercise


The industry needs more certified professionals to meet the demand of health clubs, community centres, gyms, and recreation facilities and now there are also many online class opportunities for you to teach!

Dove Self-Esteem Workshops

As a facilitator for the Dove Self-Esteem workshop for girls ages 8-12 years, I get the opportunity to teach young girls an important message about loving their bodies, being happy their skin and creating positive connections with peers. Did you know that 6 out of 10 girls are so concerned with the way they look that they opt out of important activities? From playing sports and swimming to visiting the doctor, going to school or just offering an opinion, anxiety about their looks can keep girls from living life to the full.
